Heartlake City Hospital

Step into the heart of Heartlake City and bring compassionate care to life with the Friends Heartlake City Hospital (42636). This impressive 1,045-piece playset invites children ages 7 and up into a bustling three-story medical center where every corner tells a story of healing, teamwork, and the everyday heroism of hospital life. From the moment young builders snap together the first bricks, they're transported into a world where their favorite Heartlake City characters work side-by-side to help patients get better—whether that means a routine check-up, an exciting ambulance arrival, or a stay in the cozy recovery room.

The building experience is layered and rewarding, perfect for kids who are ready to take on a larger, more detailed set. Each floor of the hospital is thoughtfully designed with authentic medical details that spark imaginative role-play: a welcoming reception and waiting area, an examination room equipped with a scanner, an operating theater with surgical tools, a pharmacy stocked with tiny medicine bottles, and private patient rooms where characters can rest and recover. The included ambulance adds another dimension of play, letting kids simulate emergency responses and dramatic rescues that connect to the broader world of Friends sets they may already own.

What makes this hospital so special is the way it balances serious themes with warmth and heart. Six character figures—including doctors, nurses, patients, and a visiting friend—help children explore big ideas like empathy, caregiving, and the courage it takes to help others feel better. Alongside the human characters, two adorable animal companions remind builders that pets need care too. The set is packed with over 30 accessory elements, from stethoscopes and clipboards to tiny teddy bears and get-well cards, giving every scene a lived-in authenticity.

This is a wonderful gift for birthdays, holidays, or any special occasion for kids who love nurturing play, pretend professions, or expanding their Heartlake City collection. It also makes a fantastic display piece once built, with its colorful facade and open-back design that showcases every detailed room. For families who love collaborative play, the hospital pairs beautifully with other Friends vehicles and buildings, letting imaginations roam across an ever-growing cityscape of friendship and adventure.
